IMF will not object if the government reduces the forfeit tax after it discovers other revenues in the budget, Jerald Schiff, Head of the IMF mission to Bulgaria told bTV. The fund has never insisted on changing the forfeit tax in Bulgaria, he added. The government decided there has not been compensation concerning the inflation over the time and that it needs additional revenues, Schiff explained. A problem for the government at present is the fact that its popularity collapses, said Steve Hanke – professor at John Hopkins University.
