VISA AGREEMENT WITH RUSSIA TO BE SIGNED IN MARCH THE LATEST

The agreement for relaxed visa regime between Bulgaria and Russia will be signed in the end of February or in the beginning of March in Sofia, Vladimir Titov, Russia’s ambassador to Bulgaria announced. He met with Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev and Deputy Economy Minister Lyubka Kachakova at a working meeting in the Russian Embassy. The officials discussed the coming meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation on February 21 and February 22. Bulgaria’s export to Russia will reach at least USD 200 M, according to Economy Minister Vassilev. The official Russian delegation that will arrive in Bulgaria will be led by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin. Bulgaria’s Economy Minister Vassilev is scheduled to present the economic situation in Bulgaria as well as the intentions of the government to the Russian businessmen who will participate in the delegation.
