The decision to change Stoyan Ganev, PM’s Chief of Staff has been taken personally by the prime minister and it is directly related to the personal assessment of the prime minister of the work of Ganev, Deputy Prime Minister Kostadin Paskalev pointed out in an interview for Darik Radio. According to Paskalev the change of Ganev is not a result of the political pressure on the Cabinet. “I did not have preliminary information for Ganev’s withdrawal, “ the deputy prime minister added.

"I understood about the dismissal of Stoyan Ganev from the media late on February 14, " Minister of State Administation told radio "Free Europe." "I am not sure and I am not convinced that he is really fired since such an issue has not been commented in my presence, " he added.

"If it had been up to me I would not have paid much attention to Ganev’s dismissal,“ Rumen Ovcharov, Deputy chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, said. In his opinion this perfectly agrees with the chaotic activities and lack of activities of the Cabinet. “Some of the saviours are already leaving, leaving us in an even greater chaos,” he commented. The decision to dismiss the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff shows the Cabinet seeks a way out if the real problems. The overall coordination in the Cabinet needs to be changed, as well as its social and economic policy.

“This change is not the only one. Probably it concerns certain interests in the ruling majority,” Mladen Chervenyakov from “Coalition for Bulgaria” commented. “We declared during the parliamentary debates on the non-confidence vote that there are serious problems in the governing. These problems cannot be solved easily without the necessary corrections,” he added.

If this is the only change in the Cabinet, I think that this is a rather superficial and cosmetic change, “the leader of the Union of Democratic Forces Ekaterina Mihaylova commented the information for the dismissal of Stoyan Ganev, PM’s Chief of Staff. “I think that radical changes in the politics of the Cabinet are necessary and also in the team of the government. The dismissal of Ganev is important who played the role of the “regent Ganev.”

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms has nothing to do with the dismissal of Stoyan Ganev, PM’s Chief of Staff dismissal , Kemal Eyup, MP from the movement said, asked to comment rumors that pressure between the Simeon II National Movement and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms prompted the changes in the government.

“I do not know whether this is a dismissal or moving to another position,” Stanimir Ilchev, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy, Defence and Securitysaid, adding that he is not one of the MPs who are close to the prime minister.

Vessela Draganova, MP from the Simeon II National Movement refused to comment.
