Bulgarian Gymnast Grabs Intl. Gold

Bulgaria's Simona Peycheva won over the jury and audience with her grace at the fifteenth international gymnastics tournament "Queen Margarita" in seaside Varna.

Peycheva banked a total of 65.975 points and won the first place in the twelve exercises competition with more than five points' advance over Israeli Irina Risenson, who got silver, according to Darik News.

Third was Estonian Irina Kikkas with 57.850.

The competition's rules allow for only one gymnast from every country to participate and Bulgaria's sole representative charmed the crowds.

Bulgaria grabbed another win in the group competition where the country outplayed Israel and Japan. Zornitsa Marinov, Tsveta Kuseva, Yolita Manolova, Yoana Tancheva , Tatyana Tongova and Maya Paunovska ended with a total score of 31.700, outpacing Israel with close to four points.
