GREAT BRITAIN SUPPORTS BULGARIA’S NATO CANDIDATURE

Bulgaria’s chances to receive an invitation at the NATO summit in Prague are “very good,” Britain’s defense minister Jeff Hoon told Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Passy at a meeting in London. Hoon added that Great Britain supports the expansion of the Alliance and favors the Bulgarian candidature. He highly estimated Bulgaria’s participation in the anti-terror coalition. Britain's Government will be reviewing the visa issue between Bulgaria and Britain this year, British Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary Jack Straw told Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy when the two officials conferred at the Foreign Office later during the day. Passy was assured again that Britain will be supporting Bulgaria in its efforts to join the European Union and NATO.
