FOREIGN MINISTER TO DISCUSS NATO ENTRY IN ISTANBUL

Foreign Minister Passy will participate in a joint forum of the European Union and the Organisation of Islamic conference in Istanbul to take place on February 12-13. "The gathering will bring to the whole world the message of peace, cooperation and harmony. This is a very important message," said Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem, who proposed the meeting in the wake of the terror attacks in New York and Washington.In the framework of the event, on February 13th, a meeting among the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Romania will take place. The ministers are expected to discuss how Greece and Turkey could help to accelerate the process for NATO entry of Romania and Bulgaria at the coming summit in Prague.
