Bulgaria's cosmetic company Rubella seems to be one of the largest local investors, Krassimir Mitev, Executive director, said. The company has already invested some BGN 7. 1 M for the period 2001 –2002. BGN 3 M have been invested for new equipment and reconstruction of Rudozem-based plant and another BGN 4. 8 M for marketing and advertising of the products. Rubella is a pure Bulgarian company and one of the most successful privatization cases in the country, Mitev added. The company holds 12 % of the toothpaste Russian market and exports cosmetics and dental products for more than 22 countries all over the world. Only in Rudozem (South Bulgaria) plant there are 500 employees, which makes Rubella the largest employer in the Smolyan region. A number of new products are due to come out in 2002.
