$380 M loan will be granted for modernization of Units 5 and 6 of Kozlodui Nuclear Power Plant, Ivan Shilyashki, chairman of the Agency for Energy Efficiency, announced. The loan is drawn under credit agreements with Citibank, Rosseximbank and Euraton with 5 years grace period and state guarantees. The project is estimated at $425 M with a reimbursement period of 15 years. NPP Units upgrade is to be finished by 2006, thus extending the Kozloduy NPP lifetime to 40 years and ensuring maximum security of the station. The Kozloduy NPP will invest EUR 146 M. A consortium of Framatom, Siemens, Westinghouse, Parsons, and Avtoenergoproekt will implement the upgrade.
