The planned execution of a Bulgarian businessman was prevented by the special services of the National Police, an official report said Monday, cited by Darik News.
The special service was informed at the end of March that 44-year-old criminal G.K. from Belovo, Southwestern Bulgaria, was hired by a man from nearby Pazardzhik, to murder a 43-year-old fellow-citizen.
He paid in advance 10% out of EUR 7,000 total, the reward he offered the killer known by the nickname Bruce Lee.
Police officials easily found that an old feud and clash between the fellow-townsmen was the reason for the intended murder.
The police conducted searches and seizures from the home of "Bruce Lee" and his cousin G.S. (31), also a criminal.
G.K. is known as a treasure-hunter, and during the search of his home a great number of ancient coins were found altogether with other antiques and a metal detecting machine.
During the raid it turned out that his cousin possesses six sticks of a detonation material equal to 1,200 grams, a shell, an electro-detonator, a fireproof cord, and a lot of stolen parts for Audi.
Both men were arrested for 72 hours.
The police immediately launched investigation into the incident.
