Bulgaria's military prosecution has launched an investigation into the claims of four women who say they have been sexually harassed by the deputy chief of Kazanlak mechanized brigade.

Plamen Ganchev, 46, harassed the female privates for more than six months, all four claimed according to Darik News. They are all aged between 24 and 28, and one is married to a soldier currently serving a mission abroad.

Ganchev had assumed the post in Kazanlak's brigade about two years ago, after serving in a battalion where one of the four women also served. The General Staff has already summoned the assumed violator, and are working towards untangling the case.

In the meantime rumours among soldiers tell of other violations in the brigade. Some claim that someone had forged signatures on the papers of four of the army men who are now on a peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.

This is the second sexual harassment accusation in Bulgaria, with colonel Alexander Petkov currently on trial for sexually harassing women from the thirteenth tanker's brigade that was under his command.
