SIX BANKS WILL REPORTEDLY SERVICE CUSTOMS

Roseximbank, Biochim, State Saving Bank, Bulbank and Post Bank are among the six financial institutions winners of the tender for servicing the Customs, Capital Weekly reported, citing insiders. The results will be announced officially after Finance Minister Milen Velchev approve the plan of the distribution of all customs bureaus among the six banks. The tender procedure was opened at the beginning of November. Out of 21 banks, 14 submitted offers to the Customs Agency. In a separate development Finance Minister Velchev and Customs Agency chief Emil Dimitrov denied the reports of a conflict, following the signing of the contract with British Crown Agents for the reform in the Bulgarian customs administration November 29. In the capacity of Finance Minister I am primarily interested in the customs revenues, Minister Velchev said.
