Five boys aged 11 to 13 are suspected of killing a Georgian immigrant boy in Greece, according to world media. Two of the young suspects are Greek, two are Albanian and one is Romanian.

They had confessed to beating to death 11-year-old Alex Meshiesvili, who went missing in February.

Then the young suspected murderers retracted their statements, but still face lengthy sentences of supervision or staying at juvenile institutions, the BBC reported Friday.

Meanwhile, the body of the victim remains undiscovered.

His mother, Natela Ichuadze, has reportedly taken an overdose earlier this week, after police told her there was very little chance of ever finding her son's body.
