Two tourists from Norway were hit by a taxi in the southern seaside resort Sunny Beach in Bulgaria.
The two women have been hospitalised, and one is in critical condition.
The 44-year-old taxi driver was taking a turn near the Pautalia hotel in the resort and choked the two young tourists.
One of the women, who is 25, suffered a scull fracture, lots of injuries to the chest and a large haematoma. Her life is in danger. The right shank and knee of her 24-year-old friend have been severely fractured, and she has contusions all over her body, but her condition is stable.
The taxi was speeding and the women were crossing at an unregulated spot and this led to the accident, police believes.
