Bulgarian Shot in World-Cup Quarrel

The life of a Bulgarian man is in danger, after he was shot in a world-cup related quarrel late Sunday evening in the southern city of Dupnitsa.

Fifty-five year old N. Spasov's was in the local "Real" bar where he got into a heated argument with the bar's owner and his underage son. The three disagreed on matters concerning the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

The three took the quarrel outside, where another customer joined them. In the heat of the moment the bar's owner took out a Glock pistol and shot Spasov in the back. The injured man has been hospitalized , while the shooter and his son were arrested.
