US band Bloodhound Gang visited Sofia for the first time on Tuesday, and true to their style gave fans one show to remember.

Warm-up band Montreal from Germany, also put on a good show, warming up to the point that all players took off their clothes and played in their boxer shorts. They managed to get out of two power shortages gracefully and kept the spirits high until the stars of the evening took the stage.

Old-time Bloodhound Gang classics like "Along comes Mary", "The Roof is on Fire", and "Bad Touch", mixed with some newer tracks were greeted with roaring enthusiasm from the crowd of about 200 gathered at the capital's Dali Club.

Those 200 definitely didn't regret not going to see rapper Busta Rhymes, who was playing at the other end of Sofia at the same time. Some had even come all the way from Burgas at the seaside - a 500 kilometers trip that was well worth it.

Bloodhound Gang seemed to have as much fun on stage as off, and mingled with fans before and after the gig. "Bulgaria may have the ugliest guys but the girls here are gorgeous," Evil Jared Hasselhoff said. He seemed determined to find something that would enrage the crowd and was trying to figure if they'd be more infuriated if he said Bulgaria was his favorite city in Romania, or in Turkey. He finally settled with Turkey considering the country's violent history with its neighbors.

The band certainly had done their homework on Bulgaria and won the crowd's hearts by playing a segment from the national anthem. Despite the fact that Bulgaria's side failed miserably at the World Cup qualifications, a fact that was rubbed in, lead vocal Jimmy Pop appeared on stage in the national team's jersey.

The Americans didn't miss the chance on bashing their own leader George Bush, on stage and at the press conference earlier in the day. Journalists could only ask questions after taking a shot of Jagermeister and bonking a hanged Bush figure on the head with a large stick.

After the show the guys from Bloodhound Gang went to Biad Cool House, where they got a taste of Bulgarian pop-folk.
