Bulgaria's chief prosecutor was urged to assist for the founding of an anti-corruption academy in Bulgaria.
The idea was presented by activists from GERB, the civil association whose informal leader is Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov, at a meeting with Boris Velchev on Tuesday.
The academy would apply international experience and attract foreign experts to deliver lectures.
GERB followers plan that the academy will start operating in the second half of September, to focus mainly on case studies in its curriculum.
The idea was submitted for consideration to EU-Affairs Minister Meglena Kuneva as well, they announced after the meeting.
Tightening the fight against corruption practices, particularly on high echelons, has been among the key critiques of the European Commission to Bulgaria.
