Police Cuffs Teenage "Phone Terrorist" in Bulgaria

Crime | June 13, 2006, Tuesday // 00:00

After a two-month pursuit police in Bulgaria's city of Pazardzhik arrested a teenager who placed a bomb threat over the phone.

The sixteen-year-old called from a cell phone in April, claiming that there was a bomb in a local cafe. Police immediately evacuated the area but they couldn't find a bomb.

It took the officers two months to track down the "terrorist". The teenager had already dealt with the local juvenile commission.

Police in Pazardzhik have lately suffered nation-wide criticism regarding their incapacity to solve a brutal murder that took place in the city about half a year ago. Two teenage sisters - Rositsa (18) and Kristina (15) Belneyska were brutally raped and murdered in January, and the local authorities still haven't come up with a suspect.
