JAPAN LOANS USD 109,2 M FOR SOFIA UNDERGROUND EXPANSION

Japan will give a loan amounting to USD 109,2 M to Bulgaria that will be used for the expansion of the underground network that is being constructed in the capital Sofia. The funds will finance the construction of the most difficult in technical terms section of the underground line from seventh to ninth stations. The Japanese Bank for International Cooperation gave the loan against state guarantees. On February 4, Foreign Minister Passy and Japan’s Ambassador to Bulgaria will sign the agreement.
