A group of MPs and representatives of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) and the Podkrepa trade union will prepare amendments to the provisions in the Personal Income Tax Act pertaining to license tax, parliamentary budgetary policy committee chairman Ivan Iskrov said after the meeting between parliamentary speaker Ognyan Gerdzhikov and representatives of the sectoral organizations of taxi drivers and craftsmen who staged a rally in front of the parliamentary building in protest of the increase in the license tax. Iskrov expects an expert group to reach a consensus on the amount of the license tax and that the 2002 budget bill will not have to be amended.
