Crime | June 3, 2006, Saturday // 00:00

The Bulgarian who was recently found dead in a dam lake was most probably killed by his twin sons, the police revealed.

They brutally beat up the 51-year-old diabetes suffering man, then tied him up and threw him into the water. Forensic experts found out that, despite the savage kicks and hits, he was still alive when the brothers drowned him.

Twins Yonko and Georgi, aged 31, were born to the victim Radoslav Ilchev and his first wife, and are his oldest offspring. The man had a total of five children.

Authorities in their hometown of Haskovo say Radoslav and the twin brothers had never enjoyed harmonious relations.

On the day of the lethal attack, Yonko and Georgi firsts thrashed their parent at his home. Then they drove the unconscious man out of town, and when he came to himself they beat him up once again.

Radoslav Ilchev was half-blind because of his illness, Bulgarian press revealed.

His oldest sons have been arrested, and could end up in prison for up to 20 years.
