SPAIN FAVORS EASTWARD ENLARGEMENT, SUPPORTS BULGARIA IN EU TALKS

In an exclusive interview for novinite.com and The News online newspaper, Spain’s Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E Jose Angel Lopez Jorrin, outlines Spain’s priorities during its EU presidency as well as the developments in the Spanish-Bulgarian relations. Asked by novinite.com whether Spain supports eastward enlargement, H.E Jorrin answered positively. “I would say that in terms of public opinion, according to latest opinion polls more than 60% of the Spanish population favors eastward enlargement, which is interesting to note because from the official and formal point of view there is no doubt that the process of enlargement is going to continue and carry forward until all present member states join the union,” he commented.
