Bulgarian fraudsters have hacked bank accounts in the United Arab Emirates, Gulf News reported.

Fraudsters who stole ATM card details from a cash machine in Dubai last month hacked into bank accounts of a "handful" of Emirates Bank customers and stole cash, but the overall amount lost is small, an official told the media. Abdullah Qasim, Emirates Bank's general manager for operations, told Gulf News the bank accounts were hacked from Bulgaria and late on Tuesday the bank blocked access to its network from 10 East European countries.

We had to keep our systems open for a while to see where these transactions were originating and once we found it was Bulgaria we blocked access from there and some neighbouring countries, Qasim was cited as saying. He also revealed that the fraudster are still attempting to break in.
