Street Exchanger Attacked with Acid

A street dealer of foreign currency was attacked with acid in broad daylight in the coastal city of Varna.

At about 10:40 a.m. an unidentified man assaulted the dealer splashing acid into his face just meters away from a packed cafeteria in the city centre.

Police commented only that the victim, 39, who was rushed to hospital with serious burnings, had a police record for currency frauds.

Civil defence authorities immediately commenced locating and cleaning up the acid spilt on the ground.
