The company that manages Sofia's green areas has stolen about BGN 715 000, or EUR 366 000, authorities have found out.
Results of a special check into the Ozelenyavane municipal firm were published Tuesday, revealing that EUR 325 000 had been siphoned through the company.
It had also stolen about EUR 40 900 using forged fuel invoices, crime combaters found out.
Employees have also looted property, including trucks.
Ozelenyavane is just one of the municipality-serving firms that were subjected to checks recently.
Earlier in May, similar controversy hit the capital's central heating provider. Its former boss Valentin Dimitrov emerged to have a Jacuzzi, sauna and special massager installed at his office, using money from the capital city's budget.
