Drug Dealing Gangs Crushed in Sofia

A crime gang selling drugs in several Sofia neighbourhoods was crushed by Sofia police.

Four people were arrested during the specialized police operation that took place Thursday. All of the arrested had criminal records. Each of them had special function in the gang, police revealed.

D.K., 27, believed to be the head of the gang, was responsible for drugs supply. P.G., 26, kept and packaged the drugs in smaller packets meant for street sale by the two dealers - I.T., 20, and H.G., 17. The drugs were marketed in Sofia neighbourhoods Slatina, Geo Milev and Reduta.

The four men were arrested at four different places. Their homes and a garage in the Hadzhi Dimitar neighbourhood were searched and different kinds of drugs were disclosed there.

The investigation into the case is still on and police is hunting for other members of the gang.

Meanwhile, another four Sofia citizens were arrested during another police operation that took place in Sofia on Thursday. The four detainees locked themselves in the car and tried to escape. When the home of one of the detainees was searched police found heroin and cannabis. Arms were found in the home of another of the arrestees.
