GloBul GSM network, owned by Greek telecom OTE, started operating in Russe and Pleven, which pushes the operator’s coverage in Bulgaria to 42%. Operations in several more towns are to be launched soon. A new service is to be offered by Bulgaria’s second GSM operator since the beginning of February, which allows subscribers to check their accounts through SMS. GloBul representatives said the trend of expansion and more subscribers is expected to continue throughout the year.
