38 Prostitutes Arrested in Bulgaria

Bulgarian authorities have busted a total of thirty-eight prostitutes, who practiced in the areas of Plovdiv and Pazardzhik.

The women have been accused of concluding non-labor contracts in an immoral manner, appellative prosecutor Ognyan Urbalov has said. They will have to pay fines of EUR 250 to EUR 350, and face up to 2 years in jail.

Bulgaria's police has launched a campaign on determining the incomes of pimps, who try to launder prostitution-earned money by investing it in real estate. Currently police are looking into five pimps who are known to show interest in hotels and commercial buildings worth thousands.
