The European Commission comprehensive report on Bulgaria due May 16 wouldn't be pleasant, Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin has said.
Delaying the country's EU entry, however, was improbable, according to the minister. Kalfin claimed that there had been pressure on EC to delay the decision on Bulgaria's accession for the fall.
The Balkan country is channelling all its efforts towards keeping the option for a solid entry date in EC Commissioner Oli Rehn's report. Romania is expected to receive a much more positive comment in the justice and home affairs section of the report than Bulgaria, but no one believes that the two countries would be separated, Kalfin said.
