FREE TRADE BETWEEN BULGARIA AND ISRAEL

A free trade agreement between Bulgaria and Israel is signed on Friday. Most of the customs duties will be abolished right after the document is enforced. Customs duties on some industrial goods will be cut by half and will be abolished as from January 1, 2002. By 2004 customs duties in bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Israel will be entirely abolished. Bulgaria is granted concessions on imports of agriculture goods in Israel with alleviated customs duties. Israel is granted concessions on imports under alleviated terms too. Free trade agreement will boost the development of bilateral trade-economic relations between the two countries. At present Israel is placed 35 in Bulgarian turnover. Currently, Bulgaria has been signed 45 free trade agreements.
