Bulgaria's Euro babies celebrated together their first birthday on Friday on the special invitation of Bulgarian EP Observer Hristina Hristova.

More than 60 EU babies from across the country celebrated their 1st birthday at a party under the aegis of Bulgaria's ex Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg, who signed Bulgaria's EU Accession Treaty on April 25, 2005.

Saxe-Coburg greeted all Euro babies personally. Every toddler received a special coin with the stars of the European Union. Bulgaria's ex prime minister personally cut the birthday cake.

"Last year I dedicated the EU Accession treaty to the young people and now I return back to them. They are the future citizens of Bulgaria and will have the opportunity to live in a prosperous country member of the EU", Simeon II National Movment (SIINM) leader pointed out at the party.

On April 25, 2005 a total of 121 newborns took their first breath in Bulgaria and were granted silver medallions and honorary diplomas from the former Social Minister Hristina Hristova.
