3 Dead Dolphins Found on Bulgarian Shore
Crime | May 2, 2006, Tuesday // 00:00
Another three dead dolphins were found on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
The dolphins were found Monday near the village of Bliznatsi and the Chernomorets hut. The fins of two of the mammals have been cut off.
Over the weekend a dead dolphin was discovered on Bulgaria's Black Sea side. Only a week ago, 26 dead dolphins were cast ashore by the seawater. Eco authorities think that the animals probably drowned after being caught in fishing nets.
Dolphins are protected by Bulgarian law, which commands serious sanctions against those who hurt the species.
