Europe Day Spotlights Bulgaria, Romania
This year's Europe Day, which will be marked in Brussels on May 9, will highlight Bulgaria and Romania for the first time as future EU members as of 1 January 2007.
This was announced by Bulgaria's Embassy in Belgium and the country's mission to the EU.
For the first time the two countries will feature with a separate village at the Leopold Park in the center of Brussels, which will house three Bulgarian and Romanian pavilions, open-air restaurants and a stage.
Bulgaria will have a separate stand at the Francophone village and will present a rich multimedia program in the European parliament about Bulgaria's treasures, nature and people.
Bulgaria's participation in Europe Day will be financed under the country's Communication Strategy on the EU Accession.
