A southern Bulgarian town inaugurated Saturday a memorial for two local sisters who were brutally murdered earlier this year.

It marked three months since the savage attack, while the killers of Kristina, 15, and 18-year-old Rositsa are still at large.

The bodies of the teenage sisters were discovered in late January. One of the victims was naked, and the other one had only a skirt on, media reports said back then.

It emerged that the girls were killed with stones, their faces being disfigured by the brutal hits.

Police is working on one main version, and in the meantime checking three others.

Most probably the murders were not the work of a serial killer, investigators believe.
