Bulgarian pop-folk star Kondyo was sentenced Tuesday to ten years in prison, finding him guilty of pimping.
Kondyo, 42, was sued after two teenage women filed complaints against him.
The Roma singer will also have to pay a fine of BGN 100 000, or about EUR 50 000. His defence have two weeks to appeal against the verdict.
Kondyo has already been tried for pimping and sentenced to three years, but a higher court rescinded the verdict.
This is not Bulgaria's first case of jailing music stars for involvement in prostitution rings.
In 2003, the country's top hip-hop duo was broken after one of the performers was thrown in prison. Vanko 1 was found guilty of running a women trafficking network together with his father and a cousin.
