BELGIUM REPATRIATED 37 BULGARIANS

A total of 37 Bulgarians, repatriated from Belgium, were flown to Bulgaria on a regular flight of Balkan Airlines January 25. The plane touched down at Sofia airport at about 9 p.m. local time. The passengers’ documents were checked for an hour and a half. More than 80 Bulgarian citizens mainly of the Roma minority were arrested after a police check-up in the Belgium town of Antwerpen January 23. The 90-day visas of half of the Bulgarians have been expired, Foreign Ministry representatives announced.
