Bulgaria needs a clear date for its entry into the European Union (EU).
Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev met Thursday with the judges from Sofia Regional Court and told them that the safeguard clause in the Home affairs and judiciary field is possible, but the decision is still to be taken.
Stanishev urged judges to keep on helping the state authorities for the implementation of the law in the country. "The dialogue between the executive and the judicial power is really important because the three powers - the executive, the judicial and the legislative - could not exists separately," the prime minister told the judges.
He also pointed out that Bulgaria is in a decisive stage when the efforts for the forming of the legislative frame in connection to the European Union are reaching the final.
"We now have to show efficiency in the implementation of the European legislation," Stanishev underlined, adding, "I hope that Bulgaria would perform well and won't stop working until November, when the next monitoring report is to be issued."
