Bulgarian-born artist Christo and his wife Jeanne-Claude initiated legal proceedings against a German company, which produced postcards, featuring the Reichstag, wrapped by the famous artist. According to them the production and sale of these cards violates the Copyright Act since the postcards represent an art exhibition. The Federal Court in Karlsruhe judged in favour of the vanguard couple and stopped the distribution of the postcards. Christo and Jeanne-Claude are recognized as creators of some of the most amazing works of art for the last one hundred years. Besides Reichstag in Berlin among Christo’s most famous packed objects is the eleven cloth-covered islands near Florida.
