5% of Bulgaria's Students Admit Drug Addiction

More and more Bulgarian students aged 15 to 18 are turning to drugs, a yearly report by the State Agency of Youth and Sports (SAYS) revealed.

Five percent of the enquired students confessed that they were addicted to hard drugs, while 38% have tried soft drugs at least once.

Almost half of the students in Bulgaria are well aware of dealer hangouts and know where they could buy illegal substances.

The grim statistics show that at least two children in each class are addicted, and 36% of the pupils admitted that they shared a classroom with at least one addict.
