The Foreign Affairs Committee of the French Parliament has recommended a quicker ratification procedure for Bulgaria's EU Accession Treaty.
In a report adopted at the beginning of this week the French lawmakers were advised to discuss and complete the procedure prior to the summer recess.
The quick ratification would encourage the Bulgarian society, the report said.
Rapporteur MP Jerome Lambert pointed out reforms in the judiciary and fight against organized crime and corruption should be brought to a successful end.
He has stressed Bulgaria should join the bloc, as scheduled, on 1 January 2007.
