The powerful bomb explosion in front of the apartment of a prominent Bulgarian television reporter has left his house completely demolished.

"Everything in the apartment is blown to pieces, the rest of the apartments literally lay in ruins," said the crime reporter in private Nova TV channel Vassil Ivanov, who was the target the attack.

"The assassination attempt threatened the life of more than 20 people, who are my neighbors," he added. "My family was inside and it's a wonder nobody was injured."

The explosion smashed windows in the fourteen-story building and the cars parked nearby.
