Pazardzhik regional prosecutor's office has prolonged with another 2 months the investigation into the gruesome murder of the two sisters Belneyski, local Darik radio reported.

Plovdiv deputy appeal prosecutor Rumen Boev told Darik that the investigation would be prolonged, as not all experts' statements are ready. He also confirmed that so far there is no prime suspect for the case.

Over 5,000 people have been questioned over the murder of the two sisters from Pazardzhik, the spokesman of the local police department Miroslav Stoyanov revealed. Stoyanov declined to comment on reports that the police are working on new versions for the murder.

The two sisters went missing at the end of January after leaving a disco bar in Pazardzhik. Rositsa and her sister Kristina were found raped and beaten to death at the beginning of February near the town of Peshtera.

More than two months after the brutal murder that shook the whole country, police has neither seized the perpetrators nor fingered any suspects.
