MOODY`S TO LIFT THE RATING

In end-July 2000, the Moody`s credit agency shifted from a `positive` to `stable` the prospects under the B2 rating of Bulgaria. Bulgaria will be assessed when the next government voices its program, Plamen Oresharski, Deputy Finance Minister, said after his meeting with Nina Ramondeli, Vice-President of the `Sovereign Risk` department of the international credit agency Moody`s Investor Service. Bulgaria`s credit rating, given by the other two agencies – Standard&Poors and Fitch IBCA, is B+ with positive prospects.
