MOSCOW MAYOR HOPES RELATIONS WITH BULGARIA WILL SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE

Moscow's Mayor Yuri Luzhkov had a meeting with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolaiy Vassilev within the framework of his working visit to Moscow. Luzhkov deplored that over the past decade Russian-Bulgarian relations were not as close as they had been once, and economic cooperation, less fruitful. He expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Russia will significantly improve. “Moscow is prepared to furnish any support for those relations and act as Bulgaria's political and trading partner, as before,” Luzhkov said.
