NEW PRESIDENT CLAIMS BULGARIANS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COUNTRY’S PLIGHT

The Bulgarians themselves bear the responsibility for the deplorable state of the country, Bulgaria’s new president Georgi Parvanov said, quoted by the German newspaper Tagesspiegel. Parvanov underlined that he counts on cooperation with the Western countries. According to him Bulgaria must lead the initiative for establishing stability and cooperation in the Southeastern region. The new Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov will be officially inaugurated on January 22 at a solemn ceremony.
