Most probably Plovdiv will issue bonds in 2002, IntelliNews reported. It is expected that the debt securities will be in the form of a debut emission of Eurobonds, amounting to USD 30-40 M, the leading world rating agencies comment. Plovdiv launched negotiations with rating agencies for the rating appraisal of the municipality. The two top world agencies Standard&Poor's and Moody's, as well as their smaller competitor Fitch and already declared their interest for the preparation of appraisal. Moody’s is interested in extension of its rating appraisals in Bulgaria, the agency’s headquarters announced.
