NATO is to invite no more than seven countries for entry into the alliance at the Prague summit in November, German newspaper Berliner Zeitung wrote, citing informed sources in Brussels.

According to the newspaper all seven countries may join NATO simultaneously in one wave. Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Slovenia are certain to receive invitations, while Bulgaria and Romania enjoy certain chances to get an invitation and be supported by Turkey and France, the article claims. No final decision has been reached yet, but NATO officials predict simultaneous enlargement.
