Bulgarian–Greek relations are extremely important in achieving our foreign policy goal of Euro integration and NATO-entry, Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg said in an interview for the Greek newspaper Angelioforos tis Kiriakis. Commenting the forthcoming visit of Greek Prime Minister Kostas Simitis in Bulgaria, Simeon Saxe-Coburg expressed the hope that in the future such meetings will be organized more often. According to him there are even more encouraging indications in Bulgaria for the realization of the oil pipeline Burgas-Alexandroupolis project. As far as Bulgaria’s economic interests in Russia are concerned, the prime minister said that Bulgaria aims to renew its positions on the Russian market and change the negative trade balance. He also pointed out that Bulgaria backs the international community in its efforts to turn Macedonia into a democratic and stable country.
