AES DECLINES TO COMMENT ACCUSATIONS

US investor AES declined comments on the position, expressed by the economic team of NMS II about the deal on the TPP Maritza-East 1 being fully non-transparent and dubious with regard to Bulgaria`s economic interest. The company wants to built a coal-fired 670 MvW TPP, and sell the electricity to the Bulgarian state initially at 4,4 cents. The AES representative praised the current government for agreeing the deal prior to elections, after debating it in the previous 4 years. Bulgarian Socialist Party announces that it will bring to the prosecutor the deal with AES.
