Bulgarian artist Andrey Andreev has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Book of Records as the maker of the world's largest stamps-made picture, media say.

Andreev has used 102,253 stamps in the making of his 50 square-meter picture, Standart daily newspaper wrote. It took the artist more than fourteen moths to complete his masterpiece. The mosaic represent historical scenes and landmarks of Bulgaria.

To acquire the peace and quiet needed to accomplish his work Andreev even moved from Sofia to Kazanlak, in the central south of Bulgaria, an area well known for the fragrant beauty of acres of rose fields.

This is not Andreev's first such creation, for he has already made a name for himself with projects like the portrait of England's Queen Elizabeth II that he made out of 8,000 English stamps. His father had collected the tools of his trade for 30 years.
