An exhibition of famous Bulgarian artist Ghenko Ghenkov, whose last exhibition was held back in 1993, was opened in Sofia City Art Gallery.

The exhibition that will present Ghenkov's works created in the period 2002 - 2006, will continue till March 19. It includes portraits, landscapes, oil and water colour representing the newest stage of development of the artist, specialists from the art gallery say.

Ghenkov is known for his landscapes with bright colours and raised surfaces.

Ghenko Ghenkov graduated the National Art Academy in the class of legendary Bulgarian painter professor Dechko Uzunov. His first independent exhibition was held back in 1965.
